Please read this disclaimer carefully before using epicjourneywellness.com, this landing page, or engaging with any Epic Journey service. By using the Site or our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this disclaimer along with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

If This Is a Crisis — Read This First

Epic Journey is not an emergency or crisis response service. We do not monitor messages 24/7. If you or a loved one is in immediate danger, experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or having a medical emergency:

→ Call 911 for any medical or life-threatening emergency.

→ Call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

→ Text HOME to 741741 — Crisis Text Line.

Epic Journey will be here when the immediate crisis has passed.

1. Epic Journey Is Not a Treatment Facility

Epic Journey provides private intervention, recovery mentorship, recovery coaching, family support, and treatment placement guidance. Epic Journey is not a licensed medical or mental-health treatment provider. We do not deliver medical, clinical, or psychiatric care, and we do not prescribe, diagnose, or administer medication.

2. Not Medical, Clinical, Legal, or Financial Advice

All content on the Site — including videos, written copy, testimonials, articles, blog posts, and downloadable materials — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified physician, licensed therapist, attorney, or financial professional with any questions you may have about a medical, legal, or financial matter.

Reliance on any information on the Site is solely at your own risk.

3. Treatment Placement & Third-Party Programs

When Epic Journey recommends a treatment program, sober living, clinician, or other partner, we share our independent professional judgment of fit based on the information you've provided. We are not responsible for the conduct, services, outcomes, or business practices of any third-party program. Independent due diligence is encouraged, and we welcome your questions at any time.

Some partner programs may pay Epic Journey a referral or placement fee. Any material financial relationship is disclosed at the time of recommendation.

4. Insurance & Payment

Epic Journey's private services (intervention, mentorship, coaching, family support) are private pay. Treatment placement partners may accept PPO or HMO insurance. We do not place into programs that rely solely on Medicare, Medi-Cal, or other state-funded insurance. Insurance verification, when relevant, is handled directly by partner programs.

5. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Recovery and behavioral change depend on many factors outside Epic Journey's control — including the individual, the family system, the treatment partner, and timing. We share our experience, our network, and our judgment, and we work hard on every engagement. Despite that, we do not promise specific outcomes, sobriety durations, treatment results, or recovery timelines.

Testimonials, reviews, and stories on the Site reflect the experience of individual clients and families. Their experience is not a typical, expected, or guaranteed result for any other person.

6. Confidentiality, Privacy & HIPAA

Conversations with the Epic Journey team during consultations and engagements are treated as confidential between you and us. The specifics of confidentiality are described in your engagement letter and our Privacy Policy. Epic Journey is not a HIPAA-covered entity unless explicitly stated in a Business Associate Agreement; please use discretion when sharing sensitive personal health information through the Site, web forms, or email.

7. Site Availability & External Links

The Site is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep the information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability. The Site contains links to third-party content (e.g., YouTube, Calendly, partner programs); Epic Journey is not responsible for that third-party content.

8. Advertising & Sponsored Placement

This Site may run paid advertising on platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google, and YouTube. The Meta Pixel and similar tools are used to measure ad performance and to serve relevant ads. Detail on data collection and your opt-out rights is in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
