Epic Journey connects you to vetted, MD-led ketamine clinics across Orange County and virtually nationwide for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction, then coaches you through preparation and integration. We coordinate and refer. We do not administer the medicine.

Ketamine therapy coordination
The Short Answer

What ketamine therapy coordination actually is.

Ketamine therapy coordination means Epic Journey does the vetting, matching, and coaching so you do not have to navigate ketamine-assisted therapy alone. We refer you to licensed, MD-led KAP clinics in our Orange County network and virtually nationwide, established providers like Ketamine Clinics Los Angeles, then wrap preparation and integration coaching around the medical work. Epic Journey is not a licensed treatment facility and does not administer ketamine.

Think of it as a guided path. Founder Preston Durnford helps you decide whether ketamine is a fit, gets you in front of the right clinician for depression, anxiety, PTSD, or addiction, and then coaches you through the days before and after each session so the experience turns into real, lasting recovery. This is cash-pay, personal, and built around you.

  • Anxiety that will not lift
  • Addiction and relapse patterns
How It Fits

What to expect, stated plainly.

Epic Journey is a coaching and coordination practice, not a clinic. The ketamine itself is prescribed and administered by licensed, MD-led providers we refer you to; we handle the vetting, the introductions, and the coaching that makes the medicine count. That division is deliberate, it keeps the medical care in qualified hands while giving you a consistent guide through the whole process. We serve Newport Beach and greater Orange County in person, and clients nationwide by video.

This service is cash-pay. Clinical ketamine treatment is billed separately by the provider and varies by protocol and session count, and our coordination and integration coaching is quoted based on your plan. We do not promise specific outcomes, ketamine helps many people and is not right for everyone, and a medical provider makes that call. What we promise is straight talk, a vetted network, and a coach in your corner. Exact pricing is given on your free consult.

What forms of ketamine therapy can Epic Journey coordinate?

Epic Journey coordinates three routes through contracted, licensed local providers: intravenous (IV) infusion, intramuscular (IM) injection, and intranasal esketamine, sold as Spravato. Which route fits you is a decision made by the prescribing clinician, not by us, and the three are genuinely different in how they are regulated and delivered.

None of these is approved for a substance use disorder. Any provider presenting ketamine as an addiction treatment is describing off label use. For someone with an active or recent substance use history, ketamine also carries real abuse potential, and that belongs in the conversation with the prescriber before anything is scheduled.

Does Epic Journey coordinate TMS as well?

Yes, through contracted local providers. Transcranial magnetic stimulation is a non drug, non sedating treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific regions of the brain, and unlike ketamine it involves no medication and no altered state, so people drive themselves home afterward.

TMS has a clearer regulatory history than ketamine does. It has been FDA cleared for major depressive disorder since 2008, for obsessive compulsive disorder since 2018, for smoking cessation since 2020, and for anxious depression since 2021. Note what is on that list and what is not: smoking cessation is the only addiction indication with clearance. TMS is not cleared for alcohol or opioid use disorder, and research in those areas is still early.

A typical course runs daily sessions over several weeks, which is a real scheduling commitment. That is one of the practical reasons we coordinate it rather than simply refer, because the sessions have to survive contact with a working life, and most people stop showing up when nothing is holding the calendar together.

What advanced psychiatric care can you access through Epic Journey in Orange County?

Through contracted, double board certified psychiatric partners here in Orange County, Epic Journey clients can access advanced neuropsychiatric care that most coaching practices cannot reach at all: Deep TMS including accelerated protocols, Spravato esketamine treatment in a certified setting, integrative psychiatry and medication management, and pharmacogenetic testing to see how your body actually metabolizes psychiatric medication before anyone prescribes by trial and error.

That last one is worth pausing on. A great deal of psychiatric prescribing is educated guesswork, and people spend years cycling through medications that were never going to work for their genetics. Testing first is not exotic, it is simply a better starting point, and it is the kind of thing that gets skipped when nobody is coordinating the whole picture.

Other modalities available through these partners include vagus nerve stimulation and NAD+ therapy. Which of these, if any, belongs in your plan is a decision made by the treating physician after evaluating you. We do not decide it and we do not sell it.

Is the clinical side available outside California?

No, and this is an important limit to state plainly. The contracted psychiatric providers are licensed in California, so psychiatry, Deep TMS, Spravato, and any other medical treatment can only be delivered to clients in California, with the in person work centered in Orange County.

Coaching is different. Preston and the Epic Journey team work with people nationwide, in person across Orange County and virtually wherever you are. So if you are outside California, you get the full coaching engagement and we coordinate with your own local prescribers rather than ours. If you are in California, and especially if you can get to Orange County, the clinical layer becomes available on top of the coaching, and that combination is genuinely difficult to find anywhere else.

Who actually provides these treatments, Epic Journey or someone else?

Someone else, always. Epic Journey is a concierge recovery coaching practice, not a medical provider. We do not prescribe, we do not administer, we do not own a clinic, and we do not bill insurance for any of this.

What we do is contract with vetted licensed providers in the local area, then handle everything around the treatment itself: the screening conversation before you commit, coordination with your prescriber and therapist so nobody is working in the dark, transportation and scheduling, someone present around the appointment, and the integration work afterward that decides whether any of it holds. The medical decision belongs to the clinician. The rest of the life it lands in is what we are for.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions.

What is ketamine-assisted therapy?

Ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) pairs medically supervised, low-dose ketamine with psychotherapy to help interrupt entrenched patterns of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. The medicine creates a temporary window of neuroplasticity where the brain becomes more open to change, and a trained clinician helps you use that window. Epic Journey coordinates access to licensed KAP providers in Orange County and virtually, and coaches you through the process; we do not administer the medicine ourselves.

Does Epic Journey administer ketamine?

No, Epic Journey does not administer ketamine. Epic Journey does not administer ketamine or provide medical treatment, and we are not a licensed treatment facility. We are a cash-pay coaching and coordination practice in Newport Beach that vets and refers clients to licensed, MD-led ketamine clinics in our network, then provides preparation and integration coaching around your treatment.

Can ketamine help with addiction, depression, or PTSD?

A growing body of clinical research shows ketamine-assisted therapy can reduce symptoms of treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and some substance use disorders, often when other approaches have stalled. Results vary from person to person and no outcome is guaranteed. Epic Journey helps you find a qualified Orange County or virtual provider and pairs the medical work with recovery coaching so the shifts have a better chance of lasting.

Is ketamine therapy safe and legal?

Yes, ketamine therapy is safe and legal when properly administered. Ketamine is an FDA-approved anesthetic that licensed physicians can legally prescribe off-label for mental health, and delivered under proper medical supervision it has a well-established safety profile. The clinics we refer to are MD-led and monitor you throughout treatment. Ketamine is not right for everyone, so a medical provider screens your history and suitability before any session.

What is ketamine integration coaching and why does it matter?

Integration coaching is the structured work of turning insight from a ketamine session into lasting change in daily life. The medicine opens a window; integration is how you actually walk through it, with new habits, boundaries, and recovery practices. This is where Epic Journey adds the most value: founder Preston Durnford coaches you before and after sessions so the experience becomes durable progress instead of a one-time event.

How much does ketamine-assisted therapy cost?

Epic Journey is cash-pay, and the clinical ketamine treatment is billed separately by the licensed provider you are referred to. Clinic pricing varies widely by protocol and number of sessions, and our coordination and integration coaching is quoted based on your plan. You get clear, exact pricing on your free consult before committing to anything.
