I lost my dad to suicide in 2015. My brother to a fentanyl overdose in 2019. Recovery has never been theoretical for me. The last 12+ years I have built the kind of recovery system I wish my family had had. 3,000+ clients, executives, professional athletes, people coming home from prison, and families in crisis. Hundreds of successful interventions. Marriages brought back from the brink. Spoken on many stages about addiction and mental health. The Epic Journal in over 20,000 hands.
Most people in this industry studied recovery from a textbook. I lived it, every side of it. The loss of my father to suicide in 2015. The loss of my brother to a fentanyl overdose in August 2019. The slow, brutal climb back. And then over a decade of building the kinds of treatment systems I wish my own family had had access to when it mattered.
What is now Epic Journey started as Epic Transformations in 2014. The mission was the same from day one, do something this industry rarely does, tell families the truth and walk with them all the way through. Before treatment, during, and long after.
Over the last decade I have worked one-on-one with more than 3,000 people across every corner of the addiction and mental health world. High-level CEOs and the founders behind companies I cannot name publicly (engagements private by agreement), professional athletes, surgeons, attorneys. People coming home from prison and people coming in off the street, rebuilding from zero. Families in crisis fighting to hold a marriage, a child, a life together. Seven years working directly with foster youth and partnerships with youth-recovery organizations like Young Life. Hundreds of successful interventions that put families back in the same room. Marriages brought back from the brink. I have spoken on many stages about addiction, mental health, and what it actually takes to heal.
I have built and operated multiple treatment centers across Southern California and in other states, including a subacute detox, a primary mental health treatment center, and a dual-diagnosis outpatient program. I sold both of my treatment centers and have consulted for many of the leading programs in the region, building the operating systems behind detox, residential, mental health, and outpatient care.
Working with people, working alongside business owners, and working with my team to help others get their lives back is my passion. It is the through-line of everything I have ever built.
What we have set up with Epic Journey is, honestly, unlike anything else in this space. One trusted relationship, one engagement, and a coordinated full clinical team delivered virtually behind you, licensed therapists (CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, somatic, trauma-focused), psychiatrists for medication management, functional medicine doctors with lab-informed protocols, holistic healers, ketamine-assisted therapy partners, nutrition coaches, fitness specialists, couples and family therapists, plant medicine education, and career and business coaching. All coordinated. All in one place.
Along the way I authored The Epic Journal, a daily practice journal for recovery, growth, and resilience. It is now in over 20,000 hands and used in treatment programs and behavioral health practices across the country.
When you do coaching with Epic Journey, you are working directly with me. Same person, every session. The work matters because I know what is on the other side of getting it wrong.
